Patrice Lumumba was among the few young prominent African leaders who were straightforward and corruption-free. However, Africa killed her own son.
He was given to the firing squad consisting of his own people while the whites watched in humour. He was buried in an unknown location; later, he was retrieved, and his corpse was cut into pieces and later burnt in sulphuric acid.
