বাংলাপ্রবাদ বাক্য-Proverbs ll Brain Tech Tutorial
▪️প্রবাদ হলো একটি ছোট বাক্য যা মানুষ প্রায়শই উদ্ধৃত করে। প্রবাদ লোক সাহিত্যের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শাখাও বটে। প্রত্যেক প্রবাদেরই অন্তর্নিহিত অর্থ থাকে।
▪️প্রবাদ হলো জীবন সম্পর্কে কিছু পরামর্শ যা সমাজের দীর্ঘদিনের অভিজ্ঞতা লব্ধ।
▪️প্রবাদ হলো লোক পরম্পরায় চলে আসা যুক্তিপূর্ণ উক্তি।
বাংলা ভাষার ভাণ্ডারে
অসংখ্য প্রবাদ আছে যা সাহিত্যের মর্যাদা পেয়ে থাকে।
ইংরেজি ভাষাতেও আছে, তবে অন্যান্য ভাষায় আছে কি না তা এই প্রতিবেদককের জানা নেই।
আফ্রিকান প্রবাদ বাক্য আছে। তা স্বতন্ত্রভাবে সংকলন করা হয়েছে।
এখানে বাংলা কিছু প্রবাদ সংকলিত হয়েছে বর্ণানুক্রমে।
যেগুলির ইংরেজি ভাষায় প্রতিশব্দ সংগ্রহ করা সম্ভব হয়েছে সেগুলিকে বন্ধনীর মধ্যে রাখা হয়েছে।

1. হওয়া ভাতে কাঠি:
কাজ শেষ হয়ে গেলে তাতে সাহায্য করতে আসা।
2. হাতের লক্ষ্মী পায়ে ঠেলা: সৌভাগ্যে পাওয়া সুযোগ বুদ্ধিদোষে নষ্ট করা।
3. হংসমধ্যে বকো যথা:
সুন্দরের মধ্যে অসুন্দরের উপস্থিতি; গুণীজনের মাঝে মূর্খের বিসদৃশ উপস্থিতি।
4. হক কথায় আহাম্মক রুষ্ট:
উচিত/সত্য কথা বললে নির্বোধ ব্যক্তিরা রাগ করে এবং বুদ্ধিমান সন্তুষ্ট হয়।
5. হাতে মারি না ভাতে মারি:
হাতে মারার চেয়ে ভাতে মারা অনেক নিষ্ঠুরতার কাজ।
6. হাতে দই পাতে দই তবু বলে কই কই:
নিমন্ত্রণবাড়ীতে ভূরিভোজ করেও আশ মেটে না; যেন কোনদিন কিছু খায় নি।
প্রাচুর্য সত্বেও অভাববোধ যায় না।
7. হক কথায় দেবতা তুষ্ট, উচিৎ কথায় মানুষ রুষ্ট:
দেবতুল্যলোক উচিৎ কথা শুনে সন্তুষ্ট হন, কিন্তু সাধারণ মানুষেরা উচিৎ কথা শুনে ক্ষেপে যায়।
8. হক কথায় বন্ধু বিগড়ায় / হক কথায় মামা বেজার:
সত্যকথা কেউ শুনতে নারাজ; সত্যকথা বললে আপনজনও অপছন্দ করে; সুতরাং মা ব্রুয়াৎ সত্যমপ্রিয়ম।
9. হক কথার ভাত নেই:
উচিত/সত্য কথা দাম পায় না।
10. হাতে কালি মুখে কালি বাছা আমার লিখে এলি:
ছেলে লিখুক বা না লিখুক হাতে মুখে কালি থাকলে মায়েরা ভাবে ছেলে তার লিখেপড়ে এসেছে।
11. হাতির পাঁচ পা দেখা:
অহঙ্কারী ব্যক্তির দাম্ভিক আচরণ।
12. হক কথার মার নেই:
সত্য কথা বলায় বিঘ্ন নেই।
13. হাতি মরলেও লাখ টাকা:
মহার্ঘ বস্তু সবসময় মহার্ঘ থাকে।
14. হাতি ঘোড়া গেল তল, মশা বলে কত জল:
বিজ্ঞরা যেখানে ব্যর্থ সেখানে নির্বোধ এসে নাক গলায়; সবল যে কাজ করতে ব্যর্থ, দুর্বল সেই কাজ করতে এগিয়ে যায়।
15. হবুচন্দ্র রাজার গবুচন্দ্র মন্ত্রী:
যেমন হাঁদারাম রাজা তেমনি গাধারাম মন্ত্রণাদাতা;
অকর্মণ্য ব্যক্তির ততোধিক অযোগ্য দোসর;
নির্বোধ লোকের নির্বোধ পরামর্শদাতা।
মূল প্রবাদটি হল ভবচন্দ্র রাজার গবচন্দ্র মন্ত্রী; (উৎসকাহিনী- ভবচন্দ্র ছিলেন কামরূপের রাজা গোবিন্দচন্দ্রের পুত্র; তাঁর আসল নাম ছিল উদয়চন্দ্র; ডাকনাম ছিল ভবচদ্র; তিনি ছিলেন অচতুর; তাঁর মন্ত্রীও ছিলেন তেমনি নির্বোধ; সেইজন্য ভব, হব বা হবু হয়েছেন (হাবারাম অর্থে) এবং মন্ত্রী গব বা গবু হয়েছেন (গবারাম অর্থে)।
16. হবু ছেলের অন্নপ্রাশন:
আগাম সুখকল্পনা; পরে কি হবে না জেনে আগে থেকেই প্রস্তুতি;
সমতুল্য- 'কালনেমির লঙ্কাভাগ'; 'রাবনের ছাদনাতলা'; রাম না হতেই রামায়ণ' ইত্যাদি।
17. হাড়ে দূর্বা গজানো:
জমি পড়ে থাকলে দূর্বা গজায়, - অত্যন্ত অলস; আলসেমি এমনমাত্রার যে দূর্বাও সেখানে গজানোর সুযোগ পায়।
18. হাড় এক ঠাঁই মাস এক ঠাঁই:
প্রচণ্ড প্রহারে ক্ষতবিক্ষত।
19. হ-য-ব-র-ল:
কাজে বিশৃঙ্খলা; গোলমেলে ব্যাপার
20. হয় না-হয় বিয়ে, ঢাক বাজাও গিয়ে:
বিয়ে হবে কিনা ঠিক নেই তারজন্য আগাম ব্যস্ততা; আদিখ্যেতা, বাড়াবাড়ি। সমতুল্য- 'হবু ছেলের অন্নপ্রাশন'।
21. হয় যদি তিলটা, কয় তবে তালটা:
(বা ‘তিলকে তাল করা’)ঘটনার বর্ণনায় বাড়াবাড়ি।
22. হাটকানা:
হাটে নানারকম জিনিসপত্র দেখে যার তাক লেগে যায়, কোনটা কিনবে ঠিক করতে পারে না।
23. হরি বড় দয়াময়, কথায় বটে কাজে নয়:
অবিশ্বাসীর দেব-দ্বিজে অভক্তি; বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতার প্রতিফলন; কোন ব্যক্তিকে লোকে দয়ালু বলে জানে অথচ অভিজ্ঞতা অন্য কথা বলে।
24. হরি বাঁচান প্রাণ, বৈদ্যের বাড়ে মান:
একজন কাজ করে; অন্যজন তার সুখ্যাতি কুড়ায়; কাকতলীয়ভাবে কেউ কোন কাজের কৃতিত্ব পেলে এই প্রবাদ বলা হয়; সমতুল্য- 'ঝড়ে কাক মরে ফকিরের কেরামতি বাড়ে'।
25. হাঁড়ির ভাত একটা টিপলেই সবার খবর মেলে:
দলের একজনকে চিনলেই সবাইকে চেনা যায়।
26. হরি ঘোষের গোয়াল:
নিস্কর্মা লোকেদের আড্ডাস্থল;
(উৎসকাহিনী- কোলকাতা নিবাসী হরি ঘোষ নিস্কর্মা আত্মীয়দের প্রতিপালন করতেন; কোন নিস্কর্মা ব্যক্তি একবার তাঁর শরণ নিলেই তার আশ্রয় পেত; এইসব লোকের আবাসস্থল হওয়ায় তাঁর বাড়ির নাম হয়েছিল- 'হরি ঘোষের গোয়াল'; কথায় বলে- 'হরি ঘোষের গোয়াল পেয়েছে'; 'হরি ঘোষের গোয়াল বানিয়ে ফেলেছে'।)
27. হাঁটু জলে ডুবে মরা:
সামান্য বিপদে নাজেহাল হওয়া।
28. হরি মটর খেয়ে থাকা:
উপবাসে থাকা; যেদিন অন্নের কোন সংস্থান থাকে না সেই দিন লোকে বলে আজ হরিমটর খেয়ে থাকতে হবে।
29. হরিণের শত্রু তার মাংস:
মাংসের লোভে বাঘ হরিণ মারে; হরিণ নিজেই নিজের শত্রু;
30. হরেদরে কাশ্যপ গোত্র:
যার জাতি ও বংশ পরিচয় অজ্ঞাত; সমতুল্য- 'জাত খুইয়ে কাশ্যপ গোত্র'
31. হরিণের শিঙে মাছি বসে না:
সদা চঞ্চল হরিণের শিঙ-এ মাছি বসতে পারে না; গতিশীল মনে ময়লা ধরে না; সমতুল্য- 'গড়ানো পাথরে শ্যাওলা ধরে না'।
32. হরিহর আত্মা:
অভিন্ন হৃদয়ের বন্ধু; সমতুল্য- ‘জগাই-মাধাই’
33. হোদল বনে শিয়াল রাজা:
অজ্ঞানীদের মাঝে অল্পজ্ঞানী যথেষ্ঠ সম্মান পায়;
সমতুল্য- ‘ভেড়ার দলে বাছুর মোড়ল’।
34. হ্যাপায় পড়ে স্রোতে ভাসা:
দায়ে পড়ে কাজ করা।
35. হোঁচট খেয়ে পদ্মনাভ // হোঁচোট খেয়ে প্রণাম:
উল্টে পড়ে গিয়ে প্রণাম স্বীকার; প্রণাম না করেও প্রণাম; কার্যগতিতে কোন ভালো কাজ করা;
সমতূল্য- 'উচোট খেয়ে প্রণাম'।
36. হোঁতা (থোতা) মুখ ভোঁতা হ'লো:
দর্পচূর্ণ হ'লো।
37. হোক-না-কেন কাঠের বিড়াল ইঁদুর ধরতে পারলেই হ'ল:
উপায় যাই হোক-না-কেন কার্যসিদ্ধি হ'লেই হ'ল।
38. হেসে হেসে কথা কয় এ হাসি তো ভাল নয়:
কুটিল ব্যক্তি হেসে হেসে কথা বললে মনে সন্দেহ জাগে।
39. হিসাবের গরু বাঘে খায় না:
হিসাব করে চললে ভাল বই মন্দ হয় না।
40. হারামের পয়সায় আরাম নেই: অসদুপায়ে অর্জিত অর্থের কোন মূল্য নেই।
41. হায়রে আমড়া কেবল আঁটি আর চামড়া:
বাইরে চাকচিক্য ভেতরে শূন্যতা; দেখে আদর করে নিয়ে পরীক্ষায় অসারত্ব উপলব্ধি করা।
42. হাতের শাঁখা দর্পণে দেখা: ঘোরাপথে বা বাঁকাপথে কাজ করা।
